Caribbaway is located on Long Bay Beach and, like many of the other beaches in the Turks & Caicos, it has a very private feel.
Stroll along the warm Caribbean waters edge with the cooling trade winds that can bring a fascinating array of seashells, coconuts, sea sponges, and conch up onto the shore. All of which bring a unique magic to the isolated islands.
Relaxing at Caribbaway in Turks and Caicos Islands
With Caribbaway being directly on the Caribbean ocean and the Turks & Caicos Islands being famous for its crystal clear turquoise seas, miles of white sand beaches, clean air and warm Caribbean hospitality you can’t help but relax here.
The house is large and comfortable and is set up with deckchairs and gazebos, which graduate down to the sand. Read a book, sunbathe, practice some yoga on the deck watching the sun-rise, enjoy a coffee or a cocktail while taking in the beautiful view of the Caribbean Ocean. We have some books at the house, left by us and previous guests, which you are welcome to read. Just help yourself.
There is also a Chess set, Scrabble and Monopoly for when you want some time out of the sun.
Cooking and Eating
The house is set up for large parties of friends and family. Eat as a large group on the central deck or chose some of the smaller dining areas around the house and gardens. We have tables and chairs set out in front of each of the annexes and on various decks and also indoor tables for when you have had enough of the al fresco lifestyle.
The kitchen of the main house is large and well equipped and so you will have everything you need to cook as little or as much as you like. Pancakes and brownies seem to be big family favorites.
Swiming & Playing in the sea and on the sand
The sea is crystal clear and very shallow (at low tide it remains waist deep for a long way out). Swim and snorkel off the house or play in the gentle surf. Build sand castles with your family on the sand. Buckets and spades are provided to get you started. Sun umbrellas are also provided so just set them up as needed on the sand.
Kayaks, Paddle Boarding
Go off and Explore. Renters of Caribbaway are free to use its Kayaks and paddle boards and explore and enjoy.
Art
We have some art equipment at the house and you are welcome to use what we have. More supplies can be bought down town. Set yourself up under a gazebo and paint and draw the beautiful landscape.
Photography
The light on the Island is truly breathtaking. Wake up to the sunrise creeping across the ocean and the sun sets equally majestically over the Greenery of the Island at the Front of the House. The House has a wraparound balcony offering 360 degree views. The shells, sea life, flora and fauna are also truly inspirational. Action photography is also a must. We have some very talented local Kiteboarder’s on the Island and they will entertain and impress you as they skim past the house if you don’t want to actually participate yourself.
